About

"Powerful"
— The Telegraph

John Brancy is a Grammy Award-winning baritone and Juilliard graduate whose "mesmerizing tone" (OperaWire) and commanding presence have established him as one of the most compelling performers of his generation. "It's hard not to be impressed by the beauty of his voice."

This season he sings the title role in a new production of Eugene Onegin at Opera North, joins the London Philharmonic for Benjamin’s Lessons in Love and Violence, debuts as Valens in Handel’s Theodora at the Grand Théâtre de Genève, sings Julio in The Exterminating Angel at Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu — conducted by Thomas Adès — and joins the Rotterdam Philharmonic for Carmina Burana before returning to the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence.
